Here are a few of the things we are asked most here at amygrant.com. While the list may not be complete, we make every effort to be helpful. We try to keep these topics as current as possible, but should you find some discrepancy or additional information that would be helpful, drop us a note at friends@amygrant.com
If you feel absolutely compelled to ask another question, you can pose it to us. If it becomes "frequently asked," and it is relevant for us to do so, we will add it to the list. If your questions are for Amy directly, you can write to the address below.

Friends Of Amy is a web-based fan community that is the premium site for amygrant.com. In years past, FOA existed only via quarterly newsletters. Now, you have instant access to the latest news, music, videos and more -- online Friends of Amy! The site provides a number of new benefits including access to tickets, and passes to sound checks at Amy's concerts. Plus you can interact online with other Friends of Amy's from around the USA and the globe, and more!
Yes, Friends Of Amy is a fan-supported site. However, profits generated from Friends Of Amy will be donated to Helping Hands Foundation. Because of the substantial costs being invested in developing content, technical requirements, music clearances, and staffing the site, we are unable to provide this service free-of-charge. Based on e-mails over the last year, we tailored several features to meet fans' requests such as access to sound checks. Our goal is to create a community that brings you back on a daily basis. As this new community grows, Friends Of Amy will provide additional benefits to new and existing members. Questions concerning this new site can be directed to friends@amygrant.com.
Amy reads a good deal of mail. Since it is not possible for her to read every letter sent to her and because she is unable to write back, she has a "Fan Relations" assistant that deals with mail, website stuff, and other crazy odd jobs around the office. It is important to Amy that every letter is read. The assistant responds and keeps Amy informed of what people are writing. She gives her mail to read as her schedule allows. You can write to Amy at the following address:
Amy Grant
c/o Friends of Amy
9 Music Square South, Suite 214
Nashville, TN 37203
The best way to get the lyrics to an Amy Grant song is to buy the cd and the lyrics can be found inside. Since we don't have the lyrics posted on this website right now, another way to get them is to visit one of the excellent fan-created websites out there. You can find these sites by going to Google.com and searching under "Amy Grant".
The Newsletter was a quarterly newsletter mailed quarterly to Amy's fans. With the arrival of "Friends Of Amy" online community, the newsletter is no longer being made because it is Amy's desire to make the info printed in the newsletter available instead on the website.
Please visit your local Christian bookstore to see if the song you are looking for has been made into an accompaniment tape. Believe it or not, this is not handled directly by Amy and we therefore don't have a list of songs that get made into accompaniment tapes. Usually the most well known songs from a given album are the only ones made. If the Christian bookstore tells you that they can't get it, it's because it is out-of-print or was never made into a tape. The sheet music books are made by a company called HAL LEONARD PUBLISHING. This company decides if and when to make songbooks to records. You can visit their website at www.halleonard.com to see what's available.
Permission to use one of Amy's songs is granted by the organization ASCAP. No one here at the fan club has the authority to grant permission to use published songs. Please visit www.ascap.com for more information about what uses require permission (commonly called licensing) and how to get such permission.
In the past, Amy offered autographed photos through the fan club. Because of the amount of requests coming in and because of Amy's crazy schedule, it is not possible for Amy to fill these requests anymore. Amy is not opposed to autographing, so feel free to stop her and say hi if you pass her on the street. She will also, from time-to-time, visit Christian bookstores and other music stores to do "autograph parties" when she's touring, so that's another way to catch her autograph!
Because of backstage restrictions, we are unable to offer backstage passes at this time. However, as a member of Friends of Amy, you will get an exclusive membership pass to attend all her sound checks at select shows! This membership pass is just one of the many benefits of Amy's official fan club!
To all of you aspiring songwriters, singers, movie directors, etc - it is not possible for Amy to receive demo tapes, lyrics, poems, scripts or songs in any form. We certainly understand that many people love to write songs/sing and would like to have Amy help in some way. Due to legal issues surrounding copyrighted and uncopyrighted materials - and also simply because there aren't enough hours in the day to hear everyone's stuff - Amy cannot review or receive your materials. INSTEAD - we love to point people to the wonderful organization here in Nashville called the Gospel Music Association that has a resource book available as well as programs and competitions for aspiring artists. (see the GMA's website at www.gospelmusic.org). There are also several commercial sites, like songjourney.com, that you can find on the Internet by using a search engine like google.com.
Many of Amy's songbooks are available on her online store.
Amy has traveled the country many times in the last few years with her Christmas Tour with the Nashville Symphony. Although many of you have asked, we're sorry, but at this time there is no video available of the Christmas Tour.
We post tour dates as soon as they are confirmed by Amy's management. We receive lots of e-mails asking when Amy will visit a certain city or country. We do not have this information. As soon as a date is confirmed, we post it on the tour date page.
This really is a matter of privacy for them. Amy feels that they are at the age where privacy is a big deal, and she doesn't want to infringe on that.
Amy's booking agency is CAA (Creative Artists Agency). They can be reached at (615) 383-8787.
Amy was referring to a program she supports called Scholarship America. You can read more about this program at www.amygrant.com
