THE TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS
With Vince Gill and Amy Grant
NASHVILLE – June 30, 2010 — When the holiday season comes around, music superstars Amy Grant and Vince Gill will embark on their fifth Christmas tour. The Twelve Days of Christmas Tour kicks off December 8 in Sarasota, FL and wraps with 2 shows in Nashville at the Ryman Auditorium. “Christmas audiences are special,” explains Grant. “They tend to involve the whole family, and their emotions are a wonderful mix of anticipation and reverence. It’s a thrilling experience for both of us.” “These holiday tours have become our favorites,” Gill agrees. In their two hour program, the Grammy-winning husband-and-wife team will present cherished standards and newer seasonal fare as well as some of their biggest hits.
Amy Grant’s career spans over 30 years and stretches from her roots in gospel into an iconic pop star, songwriter, television personality, and philanthropist. Grant has sold more than 30 million albums and won six Grammy® Awards in multiple categories, beginning with the platinum selling Age to Age in 1982. She also has six #1 hits, including “Baby, Baby,” and “Every Heartbeat” and is one of only two Christian artists to be awarded a star on the legendary Walk of Fame in Hollywood. Grant released her first live recording in 25 years with Time Again…Amy Grant Live in September 2006, and then announced her first ever label shift to EMI Music Group where her entire music catalog was re-mastered and released via a Greatest Hits CD and made available for the first time digitally. In the fall of 2008 she released her first new Christmas music in 9 years, The Christmas Collection, and this past March released her first new music in 6 years, with Somewhere Down The Road, which debuted at #2 on the Christian Soundscan Chart. The first single, “Better Than A Hallelujah” was a Top 10 hit.

One of the most popular singers in modern country music, Vince Gill has a love for country music, top-notch songwriting, and world-class guitar playing, all wrapped in a warm tenor and a quick and easy wit. If anyone in country music defines humility, it is Vince Gill. His generosity and kindness are legendary. Gill achieved his big breakthrough with “When I Call Your Name,” which won the Country Music Association’s Single of the Year award. Since then, he has won 17 more CMA honors, including Song of the Year four times. Since 1990, Gill has walked away with 20 Grammy awards and has racked up sales in excess of 26 million. Gill co-hosted the CMA Awards for the first time in 1992. He continued to host “Country Music’s Biggest Night™” for 12 consecutive years, ending his run in 2003. In addition to being a long-time member of the Grand Ole Opry, Gill was inducted into the prestigious Country Music Hall of Fame in 2007. Gill boasts three best-selling Christmas albums of his own: Let There Be Peace On Earth, Breath Of Heaven and Christmas Collection.

I’m so disappointed that the tour won’t be coming to the DC area. It’s been years since I’ve seen Amy sing Christmas songs live.
I was hoping to see Amy possibly do a concert in the Midwest (Chicago or Milwaukee) for Christmas but alas not this year
I’ll definitely have to make an effort to see her in Wisconsin in Oct.
Come to San Diego!!! Great weather and golf courses
California misses you! Sacramento or the Bay Area would be great for future dates.
Please come to Phoenix!! Enjoyed your 1998 Christmas show soooo much!!!
Oh please try to come to the Northern Va area. I really wanted to take my family to your Christmas Concert. We really want to see you both!
Come to CANADA!!!!!!!!!!!
Looking forward to the Concord NC event!!!
How about a Christmas in July tour? That would be fun and allow Amy and Vince to be home at Christmas and allow us to see more of them!!
Will she ever come back to Edmonton,AB Canada?????? Amy has been my favorite singer for over 20 years now.
We just got our tickets for the Nashville Christmas show! It’s not Christmas until we get to see the Gills.
We have Christmas in Southern California too!
I did see Amy in 1998 for Christmas….at the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim…..wonderful show! Would love to see another Christmas offering from Amy again! If she can’t make it to So.Cal, maybe one day I can make it to Tennessee…I do have friends there…and what a wonderful pre-Christmas trip it could be!
Would love to have you in Southern California again soon!
Sorry that you aren’t able to come to the Midwest (Milwaukee/Chicago). Maybe… we can take a vacation!
Can’t believe Texas didn’t make the tour!
Will you ever come to Brazil? We love you!!!
Looking forward to the clearwater concert.. Already marked on my calender!!! Thanks for hitting Florida with great concert dates!!!
Is there any possibility that Amy and Vince could have a Christmas Concert in either Des Moines or Chicago?? That would be so amazing!!
Where can I keep up to date as to when the Atlanta Christmas Concert will be open for ticket purchases? It’s a trip from Portland, OR, but don’t think Christmas would be the same without seeing Amy in concert, spreading the true spirit, which she does all year long, but with an extra special feeling at Christmas.
Why do christmas shows down in the states that are warm climate???????? You need to come to the Philadelphia/ Atlantic City area…The real holiday feel!!!!!
I was hopig for an affordable sow in Chicago for Christmas or her new album concert. This is a major bummer. I just love her music. I have such fond memories when I hear it!
[...] Amy Grant has a Christmas tour this year with Vince Gill, starting December 8th-22nd. Sounds really awesome. Information can be found here. [...]
Please come to north Florida…..I haven’t been able to see your concerts in 14 years!!
Amy and Vince not coming to San Diego, no problem, we’ll go to Nashville. Wouldn’t miss it for the world.
We love it when you come to Bloomington Illinois. Hope to see you in Illinois again!!
Please remember us in the Midwest!
See you in Durham, North Carolina! We’ll keep the lights burning!
Amy you got a lot of fans in Southern California, saw you in March in Orange, you are still great, been following you since I was 14 and would love to see a Christmas show. “They say in L.A., it’s a warm holiday. It’s the only place to be….”
What about Cleveland! What’s a Christmas tour without snow!!!
You have been a HUGH blessing – feeling your pain as I have struggled with some things as you have – I have listened to you all my Chrisian walk; each song speaks to my heart! “All I ever have to be is what He made me – any more or less would be a step out of His plan…” Mimi;s house; Old Man’s Rumble; I can go on and on – Simple things; next time I fall; would love you to come back to Willoughby Hills Friends Church Willoughby Oh (2011) – I’ll take you to lunch!!
I want to thank you for coming to Atlanta. Nothing puts me into the Christmas spirit better than Amy’s Christmas music. Amy, I will tell your friends David and Caroline Smith you are coming. Can you believe their daughter Sarah just graduated college? You still look as beautiful as you did in your high school senior year yearbook Caroline showed me.
Dear Amy
It would be wonderful to see you in New York City
Fred
Would love if Amy and Vince would consider a holiday show in Memphis sometime. That close to Christmas it is hard to get everyone to travel to Nashville from this end of Tennessee.
I would love to see Amy in the midwest: KC or Omaha. Omaha has a new, FABULOUS performing arts center: The Holland Center. Accoustics are amazing. Performers are raving. Anyway, I would love to be able to see her live again, but she doesn’t seem to come to the midwest much. SB
PLEASE COME TO THE SEATTLE AREA AMY, WE MISS YOU!!!!!!!
Christmas in New England won’t be the same without you! I’ve seen your Christmas show twice and it’s the highlight of the season for me and my sisters. Please come!!!
